Brazil was truly breath taking, the scenery, the sights, the beach and the people friendly. Contrary to belief, we both felt very safe, police on most streets either in vehicles on foot day and night. Public transport excellent, taxis inexpensive and a good way of getting to places quickly. A good selection of restaurants and bars at reasonable prices, and good night life.

Brian organised a complete holiday for us that "took in" Peru, Boliva, Argentina and Brazil. Everything was organised swiftly and competently,options offered and decisions made quickly - nothing was too much trouble and I can not recommend him highly enough. Our guide in Brazil was Manu who we had a great day with visiting Corcovado, the beaches and in the evening Plataforma - a great night`s entertainment. Other highlights a Samba evening on the beach, Sugar Loaf and a walking tour downtown and St Teresa (with Lisa). Felt safe - a great city.

Scenery was breathtaking in Rio. Amazing beaches aswell.

Only downside was accomodation was expensive in Rio.

Then off further down coast where all travel provided by travel due south - all went smoothly and people very friendly. Would highly recommend them.

We visited Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side as a day trip and it was amazing.
We loved it.
We didn't enjoy the food so we have marked it as 2.

We went to Rio for the Carnaval and then wanted to travel around Brazil and fit in as much as possible in the time we had. Brian came up with a great itinerary and booked all our ground transportation, flights, accommodation and tours so we didn't have to worry about a thing! All of the places are so far apart that you really need about 6 months to explore Brazil properly, but getting our tour organised meant we could fit in all of the main places we wanted to visit in 2 weeks.

From Rio, we got a coach and ferry over to Ilha Grande of 'big island'. We were met from the ferry by our organised rep, checked into a lovely guest house or 'poussada' and taken on a walking tour of the island. There are no cars on the island so it's very relaxing with lovely beaches. Beware of the mozzies though! After that we visited Paraty, a unesco heritage site and old colonial town. Brian booked us on a schooner cruise around the coast here which was a really enjoyable day. After that we had flights down to Florianopolis, which is another island, again with lots of great beaches. Last stop was Iguazu Falls which was spectacular! Again we had a pre-organised guide meet us from the airport and show us around both sides of the falls. All in all, the whole trip went really smoothly, the guides were all very good and accommodation also lovely!
